HIGHLIGHTS

In the month of October, 54 Health Cluster partners reached 512,679 people with humanitarian health services through 862 health facilities in 310 districts of all 34 provinces.

Between September 1 and October 31, 2025, 25 Health Cluster partners supported the health response in the eastern region. In October, 15 partners actively responded to earthquake-affected populations. During this period, 139,285 returnees were reached, including 35,957 women, 26,897 men, 38,722 girls, and 37,659 boys.

In the month of October, 35 MoUs were successfully reviewed, out of which 15 MoUs were approved by the MoPH, ensuring enhanced coordination and support for health partners to deliver critical health services.

During the month of October, the summary of outbreaks includes: 15,460 cases of AWD with dehydration, 118,090 cases of ARI-Pneumonia, 3,721 cases of Measles, 1,826 cases of Dengue fever, 15,253 cases of Malaria, and 120 cases of CCHF.

During the month of October, a total of 118,090 ARI/pneumonia cases with 197 associated deaths were reported (CFR of 0.2%). This represents 54.5% increase in reported cases compared to the previous month (76,430).

During the month of October, 15,253 new suspected measles cases were reported, resulting in 5 deaths. This shows a 5.1% increase in the number of cases compared to the previous month (3,540).

During the month of October, 15,253 new suspected malaria cases were reported, with zero deaths. This shows a 9.5% decrease in the number of cases compared to the previous month (16,846).

In Ocotber 2025, WHO provided 951 emergency medical kits to 114 health facilities in 26 provinces. The medical kits will benefit around 928,050 individuals in the next three months.
