IOM’s Afghanistan Climate Vulnerability Assessment (ACVA) seeks to quantify and better understand climate-driven movements in the context of Afghanistan’s mobility landscape. The ACVA is a nationwide, community-level assessment programme examining the effects of climate change and environmental disasters on Afghan people and the level of risk of climate and disaster events faced by communities in Afghanistan. The ACVA Provincial Profiles provide province-level key indicators related to environmental hazard exposure, infrastructure, population, shelter, livelihoods, and adaptive capacity for each of Afghanistan's 34 provinces. The Profiles are organized by region: Central, Central Highland, Eastern, South Eastern, Western, Northern, and North Eastern.
