Child Protection (CP) actors in the Afghanistan reached 525,960 distinct beneficiaries who include (boys: 126,016 & girls: 101,878) with CP services in quarter 1 (Q1) 2024. This includes 51,591 beneficiaries who received structed PSS out of which 2,859 were referred for specialized psychosocial and mental health support services. 18,354 unaccompanied/separated minors and children facing other protection risks received case management and reintegration services, while 181,578 children/adolescents/men & women were sensitized on child protection issues, positive parenting, and counselling. Furthermore, 1,625 humanitarian workers including social workers and 3,680 community volunteers and structures were trained on Child Protection support services. 258,605 individuals were reached messaging on Child Protection through with mass media such Radio, TV, WhatsApp etc.
FUNDING: By February, CP AoR HRP funding requirements is 53% funded, even though only UN and 4 NGOs have reported their funding data by then.
