During the reporting period, over 17,600 individuals returned to Afghanistan through Torkham and Spin Boldak, the main two border crossings with Pakistan, of which 79% were undocumented individuals and Afghan Citizen Card (ACC) holders and 21% POR card holders and other returns. While this marks another decrease of 24% compared to the previous week, returns remained at a level significantly higher than before the recent increase since the beginning of April. The number of over 1,600 (11%) of undocumented individuals and ACC holders reported as deportations also marks a decrease compared to the previous week but remains at a relatively high level. The number of documented returns (including facilitated voluntary repatriations, POR card holders and other returns) remained relatively consistent compared to the previous two weeks. The slight majority (52%) of individuals during the reporting period returned through Spin Boldak border crossing in Kandahar province.
