52 community projects handed-over in Herat Province

The 52 sub projects completed in Goryan district of Herat province will enable approximately 15000 rural families to have access to basic services.

These projects include: construction of two schools, 17 community centers, eight water supply networks, public bath, 9 urban electricity networks, construction of 15 culverts, digging of 19 safe drinking water wells, five karez, retaining walls, roads and irrigation canals.

The projects have been completed through the National Solidarity Programme (NSP) of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD) at a cost of AFN 91 million and 523 thousand. The communities have also given a 10% contribution towards the finalization of these projects.
