AL HALLABAT, Jordan, 23rd November, 2017 (WAM) -- Hamad Juma Al Nuaimi, Deputy Director of Jordanian-Emirati refugee camp in Mrajeeb Al Fhood, has supervised the distribution of winter supplies to a number of Syrian refugee families living in 'random' tents in Jordan.
"Today, we visited our brothers, the Syrian refugees, who are living in random tents in Al Halabat area, where they live in small gatherings and face difficult conditions because of extreme and cold weather, and we distributed winter supplies including blankets and mattresses," he said.

HADRAMAUT, 19th November, 2017 (WAM) -- The Emirates Red Crescent, ERC, today inaugurated a meeting hall and health facilities at the Tarim Secondary School for Boys in Hadramaut, following its maintenance and restoration, as well as provide it with furniture, as a continuation of the support offered by the UAE in rehabilitating vital sectors in Yemen that were destroyed by the coup militias, most notably in the education sector.
Shawqi Al Tamimi, Supervisor of the ERC’s Projects in Hadramaut, inspected the equipment provided to the restored meeting hall and health facilities.
SHABWAH, 17th November, 2017 (WAM) -- The Emirates Red Crescent, ERC, has continued its efforts to support and rehabilitate vital sectors in Yemen, especially supply of water in areas where the population are facing scarcity of tap water.
In this context, the ERC signed yesterday an agreement to implement water supply project in Mayfa'a District, in Shabwah Governorate for the benefit of 5,000 persons.
HADRAMAUT, 14th November, 2017 (WAM) -- The Emirates Red Crescent, ERC, has signed an agreement to fund the rehabilitation of Rumah secondary school of Hadramaut Governorate in Yemen. The school remained closed for more than ten years and its students had to travel 80 km to attend another school in Thamud District.
The agreement is part of the UAE assistance programme to support education in the Governorate of Hadramaut.
Abdul Aziz Al Jabri, head of the ERC team in Hadramaut, said the agreement included maintenance works and fitting the school with internal equipment.
