On September 28, In Sulawesi Indonesia, there was a 7.5 magnitude earthquake and a tsunami. Casualties are heavy. The Taiwan Red Cross has sent a letter to the Indonesian Red Cross to express condolences, and immediately reviewed the disaster relief materials of the local disaster preparedness centers.

10th years have passed since the 512 Wenchuan Earthquake in China. Look back to the reconstruction, the Red Cross Society of the Republic of China (Taiwan) has already completed the construction of 43 schools, 43 health centers, and a Disabled Rehabilitation center in three provinces, seven counties and cities across Sichuan, Gansu and Shaanxi province. Benefits at least 1.5 million of people, and 32648 students.

The Red Cross Society of the Republic of China (Taiwan) arrived at Hualien today (May/7/2018) for the third time to help with disaster relief missions, which was caused by the devastating earthquake that struck the eastern county of Taiwan in early February.

Seven years have passed since the 311 Eastern Japan Earthquake. The Taiwan Red Cross has already completed its visit of reconstruction projects in Fukushima, Miyagi, and Iwate, areas hit hardest by the earthquake. As of this year, 62 public housing projects have been completed in Iwate Prefecture, providing housing for 330 families. However, due to the preparation of the Tokyo Olympics, 372 households are still under construction. A total of 702 households are expected to be completed by 2020.

A magnitude 6.0 earthquake struck eastern Taiwan at 11:50 pm on 6th February. The strongest tremor, which posted an intensity of 7, was felt in Hualien City.
