Kosti, White Nile, 11 March (SUNA) - The Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid, in the White Nile state, Abdul Gawi Hamid, said the camps of the southern Sudanese who entered the country and stayed in his region, are stable on food, security and housing requirements.
He said food and humanitarian assistance convoys are steadily reaching the camps in the state in Salam and Jabalain localities, near the borders with South Sudan, in line with presidential directive issued to the commission.
Khartoum, Mar.1(SUNA)- Sudan is one of the first countries that have long called for reactivation of laws of identity and granting nationalities according to international agreements as well as for protection of rights of child , woman and refugees, State Minister of Justice, Tahani Tora-Dabba said while she was addressing the opening session of Arab Ministerial Conference on " Belonging and Legal Identity" in Tunisia.
Khartoum, Feb.26(SUNA)-The First Vice-President of the Republic and National Prime Minister , Lt. Gen. Bakri Hassan Salih has called the gun-holders anew to join peace process and dialogue.
The First Vice-President, who was addressing the inaugural sitting of Seventh Sudan Ambassadors Conference in Khartoum Monday indicated to success scored by formation of government of national accord , which, he explained, was fruit of the 2015 inclusive political dialogue the President of the Republic called for and for this goal , he said, we stretch our hands for our brother gun-holders.
Addis Ababa, Feb. 4 (SUNA) - The delegations of the government and Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (North Sector) and the Joint Mediator have signed agreements on ceasefire and cessation of hostilities at the two areas and completion of the negotiations between them.
In a statement they signed Sunday in Addis Ababa, the two parties affirmed their commitment to reach a durable peace and their endeavor to find the means conducive to solving issues.
Khartoum, Jan.13 (SUNA) - The Wali (governor) of the Blue Nile State, Hussein Yassin Hammad has put the number of the Sudanese displaced, in Ethiopia to 55,000 , adding that 13,000 out of them have returned to the country and hosted by the state's government .
