A second episode of flooding in a few weeks, from the 14 October 2019 onwards, has affected the far northern region of Cameroon, with areas around Lake Maga being some of the worst affected. Local officials reported around 100,000 people have been affected and many families displaced, no deaths have been reported. Flood waters have damaged homes, farmland and many roads are impassable isolating villages.
Torrential rains have affected Iraq over two days causing widespread flooding that has killed at least 21 people and displaced tens of thousands, with Nineveh and Salahaddin being the most affected regions.
