The Muskila Kabira Foundation

Description

Mushkila Kabira is the English transliteration of an Arabic phrase meaning ‘big problem’. Chosen because the foundation aims to help in places where the problems are big.

It was founded in 2016 by a group of Dutch citizens. At first to support ‘The Mobile Info Team’, a project providing information about asylum procedures to refugees in Greece.

The foundation aims to be a fast and flexible support to projects that are based on citizen initiatives in situations where government bodies are slow to react. It aims to do so by being a legal and financial support structure for these projects.

The Muskila Kabira Foundation wants to support groups that work towards a society based on solidarity, justice and empowerment.
