IRBIL, Sept 22 (KUNA) -- Kuwait distributed 75 tons of food and drinking water for displaced Iraqis in Mosul and Dahuk governorate on Friday.
The items were delivered to 2,000 displaced Iraqi families living in poor conditions, head of Dahuk office at Barzani Charitable Society Waheed Saleem told KUNA.
He hailed Kuwait's continuous aid that saved the lives of many displaced Iraqi children facing lack of food.
The aid is part of the "Kuwait beside you" campaign, provided by Kuwait's Al-Najat Charity.
BEIRUT, Sept 22 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) has launched a new phase of aid for Syrian displaced people through its various projects in Lebanon.
Head of KRCS' mission in Lebanon, Dr. Mousaed Al-Anzi, told KUNA that the Society launched the ninth phase of its dialysis project for the sixth year in the Orange Nassau Hospital in Tripoli to treat patients suffering from kidney diseases.
BAGHDAD, Sept 19 (KUNA) Three people were killed while 34 others were injured in a terrorist attack targeting an area in Saladin province north of the capital Baghdad, said a security source Tuesday.
Speaking to the press, Interior Ministry spokesman Colonel Saad Ma'en revealed that two terrorists detonated their explosives while outside a restaurant in AlHajaj area near Tikrit city in Saladin province.
BAGHDAD, Sept 16 (KUNA) -- At least nine people were killed and seven others wounded when a suicide bomber blew up himself in Miqdadiyah city, Diyala Governorate, some 80 km northeast Baghdad, on Saturday.
A police officer and a civilian are among the dead and three policemen are among those injured, Spokesman of the Ministry of Interior Brig. Saad Maan said in a statement.

BAGHDAD, Sept 14 (KUNA) -- Kuwait provided 1,500 aid baskets to displaced Iraqi families in Mosul city, said an official Thursday.Speaking to KUNA, Chairman of the United Iraqi Medical Society (UIMS) Dr. Ahmad Al-Hayti said that aid baskets have been given to displaced families residing in Nineveh province.
The campaign is funded by Zakat House and supervised by Iraqi medical society as well as Kuwaiti embassy.
