The city of Mosul, Iraq’s second-largest city in terms of population density, is facing the danger of deterioration of the health situation, which has threatened the lives of thousands of people because most of the health centers are out of service and as a result of damage to the infrastructure of the city and the deterioration of services which have provided to the families who have returned to their areas, especially on the health side, this makes the Iraqi community exposed to various diseases.

The President of the Iraqi Red Crescent Society (IRCS) Dr. Yassin Ahmed Abbas has discussed with the Ambassador of the Republic of China in Iraq Mr.Chen Weicheng the mechanisms of the joint humanitarian cooperation between the Iraqi Red Crescent, Chinese Embassy and the Chinses Red Cross and the support of the IRCS in its humanitarian activities in the affected areas due to the recent security incidents.

The Iraqi Red Crescent Society (IRCS) has provided food and relief assistance for the besieged families by the torrents that hit the border areas with Iran specifically in Badra and Gassan areas. The IRCS has reported” the IRCS teams in Wasit branch with the support of the Air Force have been managed to deliver food and relief assistance to more than 20 families besieged by the torrents”. The teams of the Iraqi Red Crescent Society ( IRCS) has continued to provide its first aid and health services for the visitors who are heading toward the city of Kadhimeya for the visit of Imam Kadhim (peace be upon him ).

The IRCS's teams have provided first aid and health services through the permanent and mobile health teams that are deployed inside and outside Baghdad, adding to spread health and guidance awareness for the visitors.
