The Iraqi Red Crescent Society (IRCS) has distributed more than 400 food parcels to the families affected by rain torrents in the district of Al-Sharqat in Salahuddin governorate.
The IRCS`s relief teams in Salahddine have entered the villages that have been hit by the rain torrents in the district of Sharqat and distributed 400 food parcels to the affected families after conducting an assessment to determine the numbers of the families and their needs, and the health teams have provided psychosocial support for them.
The Iraqi Red Crescent Society (IRCS) has sent emergency teams from the staff and volunteers of the IRCS in order to relieve and aid the affected families in the areas that have been swept by rain torrents in Mosul.
The Iraqi Red Crescent Society (IRCS) has organized Baghdad forum for Communities in Action in the Humanitarian field at AlMansour hotel in Baghdad in the presence of a number of national and international organizations.
With the expansion of the areas devastated by torrential rain and the rise in the number of victims, as well as the displacement of the families of those areas from their homes, the Iraqi Red Crescent Society (IRCS) has increased its efforts to save and rescue the affected families has mobilized all its human and material potentials, also the teams have taken all the necessary procedures and measures, such as formation of teams for the purpose of urgent intervention for any emergency that may occur due to the torrents.
The Iraqi Red Crescent Society (IRCS) has distributed relief and food aid for more than 1900 displaced families who are living in Alqadisia compound and the camps of Alalam and Shahama within Saladdin center.
” The IRCS`s teams have distributed relief and food aid to 1090 displaced families who are living in Alqadisia compound and 872 displaced families living in Alalam and AlShahama camps, the assistance includes two food parcels, two bags of rice weighing 25 kilos and two health set per family”, said Mr.Hyder Qassim the relief official of Saladdin center.
