International Aid
Description
Founded in 1980, International Aid glorifies Christ by providing emergency supplies (food, water, shelter, etc.) to people who have been affected by natural disasters and humanitarian crises.
Near the end of the 1970s, World Vision began to phase out its procurement program located in its midwest office in Spring Lake, Michigan. World Vision’s West Michigan staff, headed by James E. Franks Sr. and a local committee chaired by Charles Rycenga, felt led to continue this ministry and International Aid, Inc. was established in 1980.
CURE International (CURE), a Christian nonprofit that operates a global network of children’s hospitals around the developing world, and International Aid, a subsidiary of CURE that specialized in medical equipment logistics and repair, and disaster response, announces that International Aid will relaunch as an independent nonprofit organization as of November 1, 2022.
This strategic decision will allow each organization to pursue its unique competencies while remaining committed more efficiently to healing the sick and proclaiming the kingdom of God.
As an independent nonprofit organization separate from CURE, International Aid will focus exclusively on providing emergency supplies (food, water, shelter, etc.) to people who have been affected by natural disasters and humanitarian crises.
