Inter-American Defense Board
Description
The Inter-American Defense Board (IDB) is an entity of the Organization of American States (OAS) dedicated to promoting cooperation in defense and hemispheric security. Was founded in 1942 during the Third Meeting of Consultation of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the American Republics.
Currently, it is made up of 29 member countries.
Our mission is to provide technical and educational assistance to OAS Member States on issues related to national defense, arms control, confidence-building and security, humanitarian action, and other issues of common interest to the region.
