Spain, through the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID), a dependent body of the State Secretariat for International Cooperation and for Ibero-America and the Caribbean of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the European Union and Cooperation, will send a plane with humanitarian aid material to Indonesia.

Following the specialised bodies of the United Nations’ appeal to the International Community to address the urgent humanitarian needs arisen in Gaza, the Spanish Government has decided to provide humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people.

This immediate humanitarian help requested by the United Nations is aimed at improving emergency medical assistance, particularly with regard the shortage of medicines and single-use medical devices (masks, gloves, syringes, etc.).

At the invitation of the Myanmar Government, we visited Northern Rakhine today. We went to a number of villages in Maungdaw and Rathedaung districts and met a mixture of local communities.

This initiative by the Government of Myanmar allowed us to show support for the many people of all communities in northern Rakhine who have suffered and still feel great insecurity.

The Ambassadors of France, Germany, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom, and the United States reiterate our commitment to preserving the sovereignty, territorial integrity, unity, and national cohesion of Libya and our support for the Libyan Political Agreement of 17 December 2015 as the basis for an inclusive political solution of the current conflicts. We continue to support the Presidency Council as the legitimate governing body, recognised as such by UNSCR 2259.
