Dakar, May 23 (BNA): The embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Senegal has distributed more than 10,000 food baskets for eligible families and needy segments of society in Senegal, Gambia, Sierra Leon, Cape Verde and Cote d'Ivoire.
Part of the embassy's annual Iftar Saem Programme, the food parcels are funded by the Khalifa bin Zayed AL Nahyan Foundation, Emirates Red Cross, Dubai Charity Association, Zayed Bin Sultan Al-Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, Dar El-Ber Society and Ahmad bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation for Charitable and Humanitarian Works.
Abyan, May 22 (BNA): The Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) has launched a project in Abyan Governorate to provide iftar for those fasting, with the support of Shaikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the wife of Shaikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, as part of the Year of Zayed.
The launch began in the Eastern and Western villages of Al Nawba in Al Kawd, with the attendance of Shaikh Khalid Ibrahim, Relief Coordinator-General of Abyan.
Abu Dhabi, May 16 (BNA): The UAE foreign assistance to Yemen has reached a total of AED13.82 billion ($3.76 billion) in the last three years, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, (MoFAIC), has announced.
From April 2015 to April 2018, the UAE has continued to provide necessary relief aid to Yemeni citizens across a number of humanitarian and development areas. These include education, infrastructure, utilities and energy, and health among others.
Amman, May 14 (BNA): In line with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and under the patronage of Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Work and Youth Affairs and Board of Trustees Chairman of the Royal Charity Organisation (RCO) Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the RCO Secretary General Dr. Mustafa Sayed inaugurated today Bahrain Intermediate Girls School in Abu Nasir town, in Jordan.
Hajjah, May 4 (BNA): The King Salman Centre for Relief and Humanitarian Aid distributed baskets of food and milk to children for two consecutive months in islands of Al Fasht and Bklan in Hajjah Governorate.
This aid comes within the framework of the assistance provided by the Center to the Yemeni people due to the difficult humanitarian crisis in Yemen, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
