We, a global coalition of 88 civil society organizations, urgently call upon UN member states to take immediate steps to address the human rights abuses and humanitarian catastrophe engulfing Myanmar's ethnic Rohingya population. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Zeid Ra'ad al Hussein have described the Myanmar security forces' ongoing campaign against the Rohingya in northern Rakhine State as ethnic cleansing.

ECUADOR – Asylum Access is pleased to announce that on September 12, 2014, the Constitutional Court of Ecuador released decision No. 002-0524, in which the Articles 27, 33 and 48 of the executive decree 1182 are declared unconstitutional. These articles establish respectively: a period of 15 days to apply for refugee status, a period of 3 days to appeal the inadmissibility of a request and a period of 5 days to appeal ineligibility for refugee status.

**Asylum Access Malaysia (AAM) is actively seeking applications from individuals passionate about social justice and refugee rights, and who are driven to make a positive impact in the lives of refugees living in Malaysia. Volunteer Case Advisors (VCAs) will commit to a minimum of six months in Malaysia where they will be supervised by the Refugee Case Manager, and will work alongside other refugee advocates and fellow volunteers.
