Attachments

The Crop Water Requirements Satisfaction Index (WRSI) images for the second dekad of March 2002, confirm that most maize, sorghum and millets in the southern districts of the country have wilted. In the rest of the country, crop conditions are poor, with the only exception being the isolated areas in the eastern and north eastern districts of the country, which has just about an average crop. The satellite imagery confirms observations from the field during the recently completed crop assessment mission.
