PAKISTAN
• Heavy rain affected several areas of the country, especially the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on 2 July causing floods.
• According to official reports 29 people died, four got injured in the Chitral district, 46 houses were fully or partially damaged due to a flash flood.
CHINA
• Severe weather, including heavy rain, strong winds and hail, has continued in most of the country, causing more casualties and damage.
• According to national authorities, 93 people have died, 19 have gone missing. Over 72 000 people have been evacuated and over 32 000 houses have been partially or fully damaged in the north-eastern, central, eastern and southern provinces of the country.
INDIA
• Heavy rain has been affecting the state of Uttarakhand over the past few days causing floods and landslides.
• According to media reports 40 people have died, at least 20 are missing and over 18 homes have been damaged.
NEPAL
• Heavy rain has been affecting the country over the past few days causing floods and landslides.
• According to media reports two people have died, at least 20 have been injured in the capital city of Katmandu. Over 12 families have been displaced throughout the country.
TC NEPARTAK
• TC NEPARTAK formed over the northwestern Pacific Ocean near the island of Guam on 3 July. It then started moving north-west strengthening. On 4 July at 6.00 UTC its centre was located approx. 430 km north-west of Guam and it had max. sustained wind speed of 83 km/h (Tropical Storm)
• Over the next 24 h it is forecast to continue moving north-west over open waters strengthening.
