Fires in Viet Nam (16 April 2002)

Heat signatures (red) and smoke (light blue haze) are visible from fires burning in Vietnam.  The smoke from this large fire extends several hundred miles out into the Gulf of Thailand.  The pinkish areas to the north of the fires are caused by reflected solar energy.
