The pastoral and the agro-pastoral zones are both in the alert stage respectively majorly because of the GAM situation that is at Alarm and Alerting livestock situation. However, the pastoral zone is expected to worsen because no major intervention has been put in place to reduce on the effect of both brucellosis and CBPP in animals yet this is the main source of livelihood in this zone.

There is a high likelihood that the agro-pastoral zone is expected to improve because rains are projected to continue according to the department of meteorology, soon farmers are going to start harvesting crops like beans, and short maturing crops such as vegetable. Moreover other partners like Andrei Food Consults are providing supplementary feeding to malnourished children.
