The Sudanese Red Crescent Society (SRCS), the Humanitarian Aid Commission (HAC), the Blue Nile State Ministry of Health (SMoH), and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) report that an estimated 147,307 people have been affected by heavy rain and flash floods across Sudan since early August.
According to SRCS and other various sources, the flash floods have killed 33 people and destroyed or damaged over 26,000 houses in the states affected.
Khartoum is the worst affected state. Immediate needs of the affected people include emergency shelter, health and water/sanitation services.
