Situation
• As of 25 May, the official death toll from Tropical Cyclone ROANU in Sri Lanka is 101 people with 100 people still missing due to a landslide that happened on 17 May in Aranayaka (Kegalle). National authorities also reported 32 people injured. Over 119 000 people are still displaced. An estimated 4 600 houses have been partially or fully damaged.
• Search and rescue operations are still ongoing. Due to a lack of clean water and sanitation, there is an immediate risk of an increase in vector borne diseases.
• Over the next 24 h heavy rain may still affect several areas of Sri Lanka, especially the south-western regions.
