South Sudan: Assessed flood affected population (as of 02 October 2013)

Aid organizations continued to respond to the needs of people affected by seasonal flooding during the past week. So far almost 82,000 people were assessed to be in need of assistance in Jonglei, Lakes, Northern Bahr el Ghazal, Unity, Upper Nile, Warrap, Western Bahr el Ghazal and Western Equatoria. Aid organizations are responding with food, household items, WASH and medical assistance based on assessed needs. Access challenges remain due to lack of logistics capacity, but needs assessments are ongoing in areas that are accessible.
