Somalia: Buuhoodle District Conflict (As of November 2024)

Ongoing and planned response for Buhoodle Conflict in Sool:

• NRC plan to support 1000 most vulnerable affected families with US$ 140 per month.

• WFP / (GHADO), plan to distribute cash vouchers targeting 1,550 households with $70 per month for the next four months.

• The Somali red Crescent Society mobilized 5000 Shelter and NFI kits (Mosquito nets, Tarpaulins, Mats, plastic sheets, kitchen sets) that will be distributed to the accessible displaced families.

• Oxfam distributed hygiene kits targeting 280 most vulnerable households and construction of 35 latrines in Shangalle IDP settlement.

• CCCM Cluster through its partner ACTED have set up three static and one mobile protection monitoring and referral facilities across areas receiving displaced people in Buuhoodle.

• Most of the displacements occurred from the neighbourhoods of Gocondhaale, Hagoogane, Qaydar, Maygaagle, Horyaal, Xadhadhan, Kulmiye, Bali’uus, and Shangeed villages and displaced fled to Dhilaalo, Kaartada, Jaf, Sooljoogto,
Horufadhi, Car-idhaaf, Maroodi-ka-dhac, and Galoolay villages.
