This map illustrates in yellow those areas likely covered with surface waters over the flood-affected provinces of Baluchistan and Sindh, central Pakistan. This analysis was made using post-flooding MODIS-Terra & Aqua Rapid Response imagery recorded on 3 July 2007. This flood detection is a preliminary analysis and has not yet been validated in the field. This map was produced through a joint collaboration among UNOSAT, WFP and ITHACA.
