• Heavy rain has been affecting Pakistan over the past days, causing floods.

• According to local media, as of 29 June at 8.00 UTC, at least twelwe people were killed and dozens were injured in the districts of Jhang (Punjab province), Dera Bugti (Balochistan province) and Karachi (Sind province). An estimated 1 000 people were displaced in the district of Chitral (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province).

• Over the next 24 h more severe weather, including thunderstorms, heavy rain and gusty winds, is expected in most parts of the country.
