17 more dengue cases emerge in city

KARACHI: As many as 18 more dengue viral fever cases were reported from Sindh province in a week, out of which 17 have been detected from Karachi alone.

As per the weekly report issued by the dengue prevention and control programme, at least 18 new dengue fever cases were detected from across the province, out of which 17 were reported from Karachi and one from Tando Muhammad Khan from February 26 to March 03, 2016.

A total of 261 dengue fever cases were reported in Sindh province since January 1, 2016, out of which 250 were detected from Karachi, five from Hyderabad, one each from Tando Muhammad Khan, Jamshoro, Mirpurkhas, Sukkur, Shikarpur and Shaheed Benazirbad, while no death was reported from dengue this year so far.
