In the South-East, the number of internally displaced people (IDPs) increased from 895,800 last week to 901,600 this week.
In Tanintharyi Region, as a result of increased fighting in the area, some 6,200 people from Yebyu were displaced within the same township due to intense fighting and airstrikes.
In the border area of Kayah State and Shan State (South), the intensified clashes have been moving people from Pinlaung Township (Shan State) and Loikaw (Kayah State) towards different directions. Two main highlights in secondary displacement took place in Pekon Township (Shan State), forcing over 7.6 thousand people to flee, and in Loikaw (Kayah State), from there over 1,000 people were displaced to townships in the neighboring Shan State (South).
In Kayin State, some 1,556 IDPs returned to their places of origin in Kawkareik Township.
