This map illustrates the impact of the storm surge and subsequent floods as detected from a Worldview-3 image acquired on the 23 January 2024 in Roi-Namur, Kwajalein Atoll, The Republic of the Marshall Islands. In Roi Namur and near the Free light airport, we can observe the effects of the surge and the subsequent floods that may have affected several buildings in the atoll. From this analysis, it appears that least 18 buildings in the atoll are potentially damaged. This is a preliminary analysis and has not yet been validated in the field.
