Madagascar

Four million people in rural Madagascar have been identified as food insecure, with an additional 9.6 million people at risk of food insecurity. The date for the presidential election is drawing near - 25 October 2013.

Malawi

In Malawi, 1.5 million people are food insecure, and this figure is expected to climb to 1.9 million in October 2013.

Tanzania

Hundreds of undocumented migrants from Malawi have reportedly been deported from Tanzania over recent weeks, many of whom claim to have been physically harmed.
