Madagascar:
A number of international electoral observer missions are arriving in Madagascar, prior to the presidential elections scheduled for 25 October 2013.

On 02 October, 3 people, including 2 Europeans, were killled in an incident of mob justice. The protesters suspected they were trafficking human organs after a child went missing. A local man had been arrested in connection with the disappearance on the same day on Nosy Be, a tourist island resort in Madagascar's north-west. A crowd then rioted outside the police station believing him to have been paid to remove the child's organs, and subsequently killed the suspect. The mob then proceeded on "a manhunt" for the foreigners.
