Heavy rain has been affecting several areas of the country over the past few weeks causing floods and landslides.
According to national authorities, as of 19 December early morning (UTC), the death toll has reached 12 people, of which five in North Sulawesi province, four in Baten province, one more in Aceh province and another in Central Java province. They also reported that three people were injured in Central Java province, over 30 000 were evacuated in Aceh province as well as 17 000 houses were damaged in the provinces of Lampung, East Java, Jambi and Central Java.
