  • As of 14 August, the overall impact following the three earthquakes is: 392 fatalities, more than 1 353 injured people, more than 387 000 evacuated people, 3 512 689 affected people, along with 67 875 damaged houses, 6 damaged bridges, 606 damaged schools, 3 damaged hospitals and 20 damaged office buildings.

  • Figures are expected to rise as search and rescue continues to access remote areas. The Indonesian government has declared a state of calamity for the Lombok Island.

  • The EU contributed a total of 650 000 euros to complement the Indonesian government response in meeting the most pressing needs of the affected people.
