Map based on the primary survey information
carried out by Abhiyan (a network of several NGOs working for relief
and rehabilitation of Kuchchh), Tata Institute of Social Studies
(TISS) and Gujarat Institute of Development Research (GIDR). The
rapid assessment survey of the damages due to the earthquake
was carried out in the first week of February 2001 in five talukas (blocks)
of the district. These are as follows: 1) Rapar, 2) Anjar, 3) Bhuj, 4)
Bhachau, 5) Mundra
