  • 2.1 million people affected and 1.4 million people in need.

  • 1.55 million acutely food insecure individuals, out of them, 280 000 individuals severely in Matthew affected areas only.

  • 546 deaths and 132 missing.

  • 125 000 requiring protection from exploitation, violation, and abuse.

  • 7 015 remain displaced in temporary shelters.

  • 104 000 habitations totally destroyed, 100 000 severely damaged, 11 500 slightly damaged and 21 500 flooded.

  • 1 633 schools in need of repairs, affecting approximately 190 000 children.

  • Global damages caused by Hurricane Matthew are quantified in USD 2,72 billion, representing 32% of the country GDP.
