Dominica: Distribution by areas and sectoral presence (as of 12 Oct 2017)

An increasing number of organisations have registered to contribute to the humanitarian operations in Dominica. The coordination centre established by the United Nations in Roseau has registered nearly 200 people from 79 organisations, including NGOs, UN agencies, international organizations, donors and militaries. According to the latest UN situation report, there is a high demand for the delivery of potable water to communities, health care facilities, collective centres and schools. The international community has reported almost 900 aid dispatches. The total number of displaced people is unclear as some collective centres have not yet been reached and an unknown number of people may be staying with friends or family. As the humanitarian response phase continues, the OCHA team encourages partners to continue sharing information with sectoral leads
