The Typhoon NEPARTAK-16 has reached its peak intensity as a Category 5 equivalent tropical cyclone, and is expected to have a high humanitarian impact based on the storm strength and the potential affected population. It made landfall near Taimali (Taitung county), on 7 July at around 22.00 UTC.
The present map shows the flood delineation in the area of Guangfu (TAIWAN). The thematic layer has been derived from post-event satellite image using a semi-automatic approach. The estimated geometric accuracy is 5 m CE90 or better, from native positional accuracy of the background satellite image.
