Approximate 20 people, including a child, were killed and 300 others injured when a tornado moved through 15 villages of Ramrail, Basudeb, Chinair, Sultanpur union of Sadar Upazila and North Akhaura union of Akhaura upazila in Brahmanbaria district on Friday at 5.30pm. 300 households have also been affected.

Women word kitchen, security wall and partition including main gate of prison collapsed.

Communication systems collapsed due to numerous trees broken down.
Immediate Action Taken:

Rescue operation is going with the help of Police, BGB, Roads and Highway, PWD and local leaders.

Construction of 10ft height CI sheet partition in prison.

Electricity system is up now inside district prison by generator.

Electric lines and poles repaired immediately.

Two medical teams from Comilla cantonment are engaged for rendering medical services to the victims.

Injured are admitted and taking treatment from B.Baria Sadar Hospital and other hospital/ clinic

The homeless people have move to the temporary shelter organised by local administration.
