Objectives of the Position
Ayuda en Acción is seeking experienced candidates for the position of Field Program Manager. S/he will develop and implement the programs in Adjumani district. The programs are based in a long term territorial development approach working in several sectors. Being the first Field Program Manager of Ayuda en Acción in Adjumani is an exciting opportunity to take an integral part of the establishment of the activities in the area, and have a great imprint on it.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Purpose of the role: The Area Programme Manager will oversee the management of projects, accountable for providing management and oversight of the implementation of all the projects in the respective areas (West-Nile and Kyangwali) and to represent and advocate for AAH Uganda’s work and organizational priorities with a wide range of external parties including government representatives, communities, donors, UNHCR and other humanitarian agencies operating in the area.

From 2007 to 2012 Danish Demining Group (DDG) carried out land mine clearance in northern and western Uganda, based on which Uganda in 2012 was declared free of mines. In 2010, DRC-DDG launched operations in Karamoja, where complementary Livelihoods and Armed Violence Reduction programs are taking place. Currently, DRC-DDG is working in West-Nile, Northern Uganda, Western Uganda and Karamoja.
