Here’s where you come in:
To provide operational support to HQ managers on the full range of HR policies and practice, including recruitment, change management, employee relations, performance management, training & development compensation, benefits and communications, retention. To understand payroll process for HQ employees and the Swiss legislation & Medair procedures & tools. To handle effectively & timely the administration of the employee life cycle at HQ. To improve the HQ HR systems, policies and procedures and contribute to their definition, elaboration and implementation.
Manage financial support of Medair Country Programmes through direction, coordination and guidance provided to the Finance teams both at HQ and in the Field offices. By developing and strengthening professional skills of the Finance Programmes team, the FPM manage effectively and efficiently donor financial budgets, reporting and audits. In addition, the FPM supervises grant management and provides monthly feedback on financial performance to key stakeholders (HQ Directors, Country Directors, Heads of Country Programmes).
COOPI in Sudan
COOPI has been present in Sudan since 2004. The recent history of Sudan is marked by strong disorders and violence, expressions of a civil war that on several occasions has shaken the country since its independence. COOPI’s interventions focused in the Darfur region that for a long time has been the scene of armed clashes and particularly hit by periods of severe drought.
Available for immediate deployment for rapid response operations to provide team leadership in the field with county level coordination, donors and partner organisations, design of strategy, and ensure overall quality of the rapid response. The Emergency Response Team Leader also serves as the main focal point to ensure effective communication with headquarters during the response.
New rapid operational responses comprise around 7% of the annual Medair portfolio budget and could involve up to three responses per year.
Geneva Call is a neutral and impartial non-governmental organization dedicated to promoting respect by armed non-State actors (ANSAs) for international humanitarian norms in armed conflict and other situations of violence, in particular those related to the protection of civilians

About the role:
This is a 24 months new position with unaccompanied terms based in El Geneina, capital of West Darfur State with frequent travel to other field locations in West Darfur, West and South Kordofan states. The position is with a salary Band of 4 ranging from €39,219 - €43,577.
You will report to the Country Director with dotted line to PDs and will technically line manage National Accountability and compliance, Communication and ER coordinators in Khartoum, MEAL Advisors in West Darfur and Kordofan states.
