Danish Refugee Council is currently looking for a highly qualified Head of Programmes for their Sudan operation.
This role has a country focus and ensures compliance to DRC procedures and guidelines within the country. The Head of Programmes will be responsible for the overall management and delivery of a range of projects. The Head of Programmes will ensure the agreed targets and objectives of country projects are met while ensuring the quality and cohesion of project outputs.
Who are we?
The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is a private, independent, humanitarian organization working on all aspects of the refugee cause in more than thirty countries throughout the world. The aim of DRC is to protect refugees and internally displaced persons (IDPs) against persecution and to promote durable solutions to the problems of forced migration on the basis of humanitarian principles and human rights. DRC works in accordance with the UN Conventions on Refugees and the Code of Conduct for the ICRC and NGOs in Disaster Relief.
The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) has been operational in Sudan since 2004. The primary focus has been on Darfur, where DRC has three field offices, with the aim to promote durable solutions for the conflict affected population through life-saving assistance, community driven processes, livelihoods programming and infrastructure support. We have in recent times begun to diversify our portfolio to work in new areas and with new target groups. The Grants Coordinator will play a critical part in developing DRC’s Sudan programmes in exciting new directions.

CARE seeks a Director of Finance and Administration for the USDA-funded HATUTAN project (Hahán ne’ebé Atu fó Tulun ho Nutrisaun no Edukasaun or “Continue and Support Food for Nutrition and Education”). It is a five-year, $26 million initiative to improve literacy, health and nutrition outcomes in Timor-Leste schools including pre-primary, primary, and upper-primary grade levels.
This position is subject to project award and funding and will be based in Dili, Timor-Leste. International relocation and allowances may be available for this position.
