The Senior Technical Officer, Urban Upgrading will join an innovative team working to develop strategies to upgrade high risk informal settlements into healthier, safer, more prosperous neighborhoods, and build local capacity to respond to urban disasters. He/she will work with the team to help capture and better understand urban trends that affect the lives and livelihoods of households in urban areas, and assist PCI to further document and systematize its strategies to address them.

Purpose and Scope of Assignment
The Technical Coordinator will provide expert technical guidance, operational support, project management advice and stakeholder management on a variety of projects. He/she is expected to meet and exceed the organisations performance and delivery goals.
The Technical Coordinator is responsible for supporting respective Project Managers in all aspects of the project life cycle. S/he must be able to apply, with a high degree of autonomy, the below duties and responsibilities.

Who we are
Jhpiego seeks a Senior Program Manager (SPM) to provide project and technical guidance for an upcoming USAID nutrition, maternal and child health (MCH) and family planning (FP) project in Guatemala. The project aims to strengthen national government policies, their implementation at the local level, and health systems to expand access to improved nutrition and health services and encourage normative changes at the community level to increase uptake of healthy behaviors. The project will operate over a five-year period.
About the role: This is a 24 month, replacement role with accompanied terms based in Freetown with a salary of Band 5 (€40,402-€44,892). You will report to the Country Director. Your direct line reports will be the Health Coordinator, Education Coordinator, Food, Income & Markets Coordinator, MEAL Coordinator, Grants & Information Manager. You will liaise with the Country Financial Controller, Systems Director, Area Coordinator (and other Sierra Leone and head office staff as necessary).
