1. PROJECT BACKGROUND:
The Malawi Local Government Accountability and Performance (LGAP) project will improve the performance of local government in Malawi by improving capacity and accountability of local governments in the districts where it will work, strengthening citizen engagement and oversight, and improving the broader national policy and systems environment for decentralization. While doing so, LGAP will directly assist USAID Malawi to operationalize its integration approach.
A call for expression of interest
NRC with the collaboration of Education Cluster calls for expressions of interest for conducting a multiyear proposal writing consultancy of the education project in Central Africa Republic (CAR) to Education Cannot Wait (an international institutional donor) to fund the Ed. The first project has been implemented during the school year 2017-2018, providing access to education for more than 65.000 out-of-school children to be reintegrated into the formal school system.

Based in Bangui with potential of time in Kinshasa, the Resident Program Director (RPD) is responsible for all programmatic, personnel, outreach and accounting matters in their designated country. In consultation with IRI/Washington, the RPD designs and implements a long-range strategy for IRI programs in the country, manages budgets, and is responsible for compliance with local laws and regulations governing current funding.
Catholic Relief Services (CRS) has been working in the Central African Republic (CAR) since 2007. CRS/CAR currently implements various projects in the emergency response sectors, social cohesion and livelihood. CRS DRC's annual operating budget of approximately US $5 million includes project funding from USAID/OFDA, Norway, European Union, and private donors
Description of the Country Programme
The Malawi programme is currently a growth country, transitioning from a pilot environment to a mature country. Hence we are seeking a mid-career professional with demonstrated operations management ability to help us build the team and systems we need to deliver impact to farmers efficiently. We are looking to bring on an additional leader, Program Associate, to our Field Operations team in Malawi.

This is a unique opportunity for highly qualified and motivated fellows to engage in on the ground implementation science programming and research and tackle some of the most pressing operational and implementation science questions relevant to HIV in resource limited settings. Both the clinical and research fellows will spend three months at the Tingathe Lilongwe HQ before being deployed to their implementation districts.
