The Grants Manager will oversee the coordination, backstopping, reporting, and compliance for an assigned portfolio of grants from USG, Multilateral, and INGO donors. This position will work closely with Field Offices (FOs) to ensure proper award compliance, reporting, and closeout. The position will monitor financial and programmatic progress of assigned awards and facilitate regular coordination meetings to ensure FOs deliver projects on scope, on time, and on budget.

The position is located in the Finance Section of the Executive Office, Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in New York. OCHA coordinates the global emergency response to save lives and protect people in humanitarian crises. We advocate for effective and principled humanitarian action by all, for all. The Finance & Budget Assistant reports to the Finance/Budget Officer.

The Special Projects Officer will be responsible for providing support to the MECHR RMT Coordination Section, within U.S. Agency for International Development’s Office of U.S. Foreign Disaster Assistance (USAID/OFDA).
The Grants Specialist will negotiate and prepare all pertinent documentation for new grants, cooperative agreements, interagency agreements, awards to public international organizations, and all amendments/ modifications thereto, and supporting documentation such as memoranda of negotiations. The Grants Specialist will review and record incoming requisitions for grants funding for accuracy prior to handing the grants requisitions over to client’s Agreement Officer’s Representatives.
