The University of Global Health Equity (UGHE) is seeking a Manager of Student Affairs who will be responsible for creating and preserving an environment conducive to all students’ well-being and to the promotion of the University’s equity agenda. S/he will oversee UGHE’s student offerings and services, ensuring that each student has the tools and support for success personally, professionally, and academically.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing a LAN, WAN, and Helpdesk team according to best practices, while nurturing positive relationships with staff and leadership. They will be reporting to the Director of Campus Operations to ensure that the IT infrastructure team is efficient, effective, and can adapt to both changing circumstances and growing needs of the academic programs.
Reporting to the Director of Campus Operations (DCO), the Campus Operations Manager (COM) is responsible for a range of activities in preparation for the January campus opening, as well as overseeing the subsequent day-to-day campus operations of the campus.
Leading up to the January campus opening, the Campus Operations Manager will be responsible for the following:
The Academic Librarian is responsible for strategically developing, implementing, and running the UGHE virtual and physical library. S/he will be responsible for the overall administration, policy development, and resource acquisition and execution of the library. S/he will be responsible for setting up UGHE’s library at its Butaro campus, overseeing the development of a core collection of medical and public health texts, and managing e-library partnerships. Additionally, s/he will be a key resource for student and faculty support regarding library use and information management.
The Recruitment Manager will oversee all aspects of recruitment and onboarding for staff. Working closely with the HR Management Team reporting to the Director of People and Culture, the Recruitment Manager will support the HR organizational goals by coordinating high-priority recruitment needs and building systems and structures for tracking, analyzing, and reporting outcomes. The Recruitment Manager will lead the onboarding process for new hires and provide advice and support to Hiring Managers to ensure procedures are being executed in a timely and effective manner.

Heartland Alliance International (HAI) seeks candidates for Chief-of-Party (CoP) for an upcoming five-year, CDC-funded program to strengthen HIV/AIDS prevention, care and treatment referral services for key populations (KP) engaged in high-risk behavior in Rwanda. This position reports directly to the Regional Director, Sub-Saharan Africa.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
This position provides oversight to and assumes responsibility for all finance and administrative work led by Heartland Alliance International (HAI), including finance and budget, administration, transport, IT communications and compliance with local laws and contractual obligations. The general purpose of the job is to ensure quality services through effective financial management and policy compliance. Individual accountabilities and work volume will be established through the development of annual Success Objectives, within the framework outlined below.
The Monitoring and Evaluation Director, under the direction of the Technical Director-Deputy Chief of Party, will be responsible for updating, developing, and writing monitoring and evaluation procedures and reports. Responsibilities include: Conducting monitoring and evaluation activities (including designing data collection methods, reports, and tools); visits to the field to ensure that programming activities are being implemented per the grant guidelines and targets; and submits reports in accordance with protocols and agreements as defined by CDC.
The Director of Programs leads the CDC Key Populations (KP) Project. Building on extensive experience and expertise working hand-in-hand with Key Populations at the intersection of health and human rights globally, Heartland Alliance International (HAI), in close collaboration with CDC and other international and local organizations serving KP in Rwanda, will support the scale-up of KP-led community approaches to enhance and expand quality HIV/AIDS prevention, care, and treatment services for Key Populations. This position reports directly to the Chief-of-Party.
The HIV/AIDS Technical Director will be an experienced HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment expert to drive thought leadership for innovative HIV/AIDS programming for men who have sex with men, other LGBTI individuals, sex workers, people who inject drugs (PWID), inmates and other Key Populations (KP) in Rwanda. This position reports directly to the Chief-of-Party.
