Manage the implementation and coordination of the designated field projects. Provide leadership, security management, strategic direction, management and evaluation of all aspects of the Medair project, also play a key role in liaison with local authorities and other relevant stakeholders, team leadership and security.
Medair’s goal in Aweil Centre is to reduce morbidity and mortality to vulnerable IDP and host populations primarily through CMAM provision, with elements of health care and WASH services.

DRC is experiencing its largest ever Ebola outbreak and the second largest outbreak globally. As of 23rd Jan 650 confirmed cases had been identified with a 58% case fatality rate. Despite a fully mobilized international response, the environment of the outbreak has proven too challenging to contain. Of the confirmed cases only 30% have known contact. The Area is highly insecure with regular fighting between various armed groups resulting in the destruction of treatment and triage centres as well as other humanitarian aid infrastructure.
Save the Children’s nutrition programmes in South Sudan have recorded significant gains in expanding nutrition programme coverage and responsiveness. Currently, through multiple funding sources, Save the children supports 42 sites providing community-based management of acute malnutrition (CMAM) and plans to extend CMAM throughout the Save the children-support network of primary health care facilities.
