Hours: 35 hours/ week (Monday–Friday, 2:30 PM – 6:30 PM)
As the Fundraising & Development Coordinator, you will take the lead in developing innovative strategies to secure funding, build relationships with international organizations, and create long-term alliances to support Intiwawa’s mission. This dynamic role goes beyond local event planning—it is ideal for someone who is passionate about international development, has strong initiative, and thrives on thinking creatively to generate new opportunities for growth and sustainability.
You will work closely with the General Director and the Marketing & Communications team to craft impactful campaigns, cultivate international and local donor relationships, support grant application efforts, and help grow our sponsor and membership base.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement creative, forward-thinking fundraising strategies that target both local and international donors.
- Identify and contact potential international partners, grant-makers, and NGOs to build lasting collaborations and funding opportunities.
- Research and support grant writing initiatives, helping prepare compelling applications and proposals.
- Collaborate with the Marketing & Communications team to design high-impact content and materials for campaigns and donor outreach.
- Maintain regular, meaningful communication with current and prospective sponsors, donors, and partners.
- Attend regular team meetings and contribute to the strategic direction of Intiwawa’s development efforts.
Requirements
- Fluency in English and Spanish (spoken and written)
- Previous experience in fundraising, development, or donor relations—especially in an NGO or nonprofit setting
- Strong written communication and storytelling skills, especially for grant writing and donor outreach
- Creativity and resourcefulness in identifying new fundraising channels and approaches
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
