About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Graphic Designer to support the visual design and formatting of English-language research reports. This role is ideal for a designer with a strong portfolio in report layout, data visualization, and publication design—especially in the development, humanitarian, or policy sectors.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Design and format research, evaluation, and assessment reports (typically 30–80 pages).
  • Apply professional design standards to layout, typography, infographics, and section formatting.
  • Collaborate with researchers and editors to ensure clarity, visual appeal, and reader engagement.
  • Integrate data visualizations (charts, maps, icons) and align with STOOS visual identity.
  • Prepare deliverables in both print-ready and digital formats (PDF and web-optimized versions).
  • Ensure consistency and accessibility across executive summaries, findings, and annexes.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in graphic design, with a focus on technical reports or publications.
  • Proficiency in Adobe InDesign (mandatory), Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Demonstrated experience working with text-heavy documents, including footnotes, tables, annexes, and multi-level headings.
  • Strong English language skills—able to format and stylize content with precision and accuracy.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing previous work on research, evaluation, or policy documents is required.
  • Ability to work remotely with quick turnaround on feedback and edits.
