Here’s where you come in:

As the Country Director you will strategically lead, develop and direct the implementation of all aspects of World Vision Vanuatu to ensure high Ministry quality and high impact on the field. You will ensure/represent WV Vanuatu to all donors, project partners, other WV Partnership offices and divisions, local Government, Church representatives and non-governmental organizations serving according to given Power of Attorney. You will provide leadership, strategic direction and support in the funding acquisition and ultimately be accountable for all of aspects of WV’s work in the country.

Requirements include:

  • 8+ years of experience in Leadership with International NGO.
  • Degree in international development, business administration, public health, social science, management or related discipline, preferably at Masters level.
  • Pacific experience is preferable - but experience in other Asian markets will be considered - and an excellent understanding of the political, social, religious and economic context in Solomon Islands and Vanuatu
  • Significant leadership experience particularly in securing funding in a variety of contexts
  • Experience in managing disasters, development and social accountability as well as programmes that influence policy design and implementation
  • Cross-cultural leadership skill - candidates must have experiences working globally in different context and culture.
